It was on Tuesday morning, February 16, 1998, approximately at 9:00 A.M. Sydney, Australia time, that Albert Hakim was taken away from us. A year has passed, according to the Hebrew Calendar, and yet it is hard to accept the fact that he has gone, because he is still vivid before our eyes, and fresh in our memory. How can we forget the princely and wise man, who walked among us, full of life and always in good humor, ready to tell a joke or two to make you laugh. To-morrow, Friday February 5th. 1999, the 19th . day of the month of Shvat, reality will sink in when the Hakim Family, wherever they are, will light a memorial candle to his memory. We will thank G’d for having Albert touch our life, and by so doing we have been enriched. We pray to our Father of tender love and life, to look on the good that Albert has done in his life time. To bless the soul of his servant, whom He has taken from us to be beside Him. Albert, son of Ephrayim and Victoria Hakim, we miss you and we remember you, but we also feel robbed by your absence. May you rest with your Hakim ancestors, immortally held in the bond of life in paradise, as you are surely destined to eternal life.
